YU research group

June 2025
The Yu Group focuses on the fundamental characterization and device applications of two-dimensional (2D) atomic crystals and van der Waals heterostructures. In particular, we design, fabricate, and study van der Waals field-effect transistors (vdW FETs) by employing transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) as channel materials, hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) as insulating layers, and graphene as electrodes.
By developing simple yet effective device engineering approaches, we aim to significantly enhance the performance of nanoscale electronic devices. Our research further extends to the demonstration and characterization of emerging electronic and optoelectronic systems based on novel nanomaterials, including neuromorphic electronics and in-memory computing devices.
We are currently looking for highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Research Scientists, Graduate and Undergraduate Students. Please feel free to contact Prof. Young-Jun Yu (yjyu@cnu.ac.kr) for futher inquiry.
